Health experts say that there are so many back pains that are preventable. Try some of these tips to help you prevent back pain and keep your back in shipshape.

1. Lift it right

Once you have decided that you can lift an object, move as close to it as possible. Bend at your knees. Try lifting with your leg muscles, while tightening your stomach muscles.

Breathe normally. Maintain stability and equilibrium during the lift by keeping your feet shoulder-width apart. And do not twist your spine during the lift. It is best to keep your body balanced to the object constantly.

2. Use a stool when you stand

If you are standing a lot, it is best to bend one knee and put it on a stool. This will help you relax your back.

3. Keep your abdominal muscles strong

Experts say that the stronger your abdominal muscles, the less likely you are to injure your spine. When your abs are strong, they push up the abdominal contents, forming a cylinder of fluid that lifts and takes weight off the spine.

To strengthen your abdominal muscles, health experts suggest abdominal crunches, a special kind of no-stress sit-up.

4. Belt up for safety

If your job requires frequent lifting, doctors suggests that you wear an abdominal belt. This tool pulls in the abdomen, helps support the spine, and reminds you to lift correctly. 5. Be good to your back even if you are a good driver

Do not lean forward with your upper body when you are driving, cautions experts in body posture. Experts say that drivers would want their shoulders, neck, and back to be as free of tension as possible. Slide your hips all the way into the back of the car seat and lean into the seat back.

Try to position your seat so that you can hold the steering wheel comfortably. If you are too close, you will have to hunch your shoulders to hold the wheel. If you are too far away, you will have to reach it.
